Do you have a batch of muffins that didn’t get eaten up right away? Don’t worry, I have a solution for you. Instead of throwing them away, you can reheat them in the oven and they will taste like they are freshly baked! In this article, I will show you how to do it.

To reheat your muffins, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, place the muffins on a tray and cover them with aluminum foil so that the moisture in them doesn’t escape. Put the muffins in the preheated oven for about 8-15 minutes, or until they’re thoroughly warm.

The first time I ever needed to reheat my muffins, I knew that I could do it in the oven, I just didn’t know how to do it right. Can You Reheat Muffins In An Oven?

As a general rule, you can reheat muffins in an oven. Just preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, place the muffins on a tray and cover them with a paper towel or aluminum foil. Heat them in the oven for about eight to fifteen minutes, until warmed through.

You can sprinkle the muffins with some water before heating them. This is especially helpful if the muffins seem too dry and crumbly. The water will help them to rehydrate and become moist again.

How to Properly Reheat Muffins in the Oven?

To properly reheat muffins in the oven, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the muffins on a tray and cover them with a paper towel or aluminum foil. Heat the muffins for about 8-15 minutes depending on their size, how many you’re warming up, and how cold they are.

You want to have enough spacing between the muffins so that the heat can evenly circulate. Also, if the muffins are dry and stale, you can brush them lightly with water or milk before reheating. This will help to rehydrate them and make them moist again.

Once they’re done, take the muffins out of the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

How long to reheat muffins in the oven?

As a general rule, you should reheat muffins for around 8-15 minutes depending on the size of the muffins being reheated. If the muffins are small, they should be reheated for a shorter period of time while bigger muffins need a little more time to get warm from the inside.

The time that it takes to reheat your muffins depends on the size and quantity of the muffins that you are trying to reheat.

If there are just a few muffins in the oven, I wouldn’t keep them in the oven for much longer after the preheating. However, if you are putting in a full tray of muffins, it’ll take more time for them to warm up.

If there are more than 4 muffins in the oven at once, make sure to spread them out on the rack so that the heat can travel in between them and warm them up evenly on all sides.

The same type of logic is applied when it comes to smaller muffins. The smaller they are, the faster they will warm up and vice versa. Just as long as you make sure to spread them all out evenly.

Are Muffins Supposed To Be Warm?

Generally speaking, muffins are supposed to be warm. Muffins are mini-cakes, but they have more fat content than regular cakes. So, when cold, the fat in them gets set, which makes the muffins taste hard. Reheating them will help to soften the fat and make them taste fresh again.

I’m pretty sure that everyone has at one point or another way too lazy to warm up their muffins and ate it cold but that needs to change!

Since muffins are made with fat ingredients such as butter and oil, this fat will slowly begin to harden to colder the muffins get.

Warming up your muffins inside the oven will enable that fat content to melt once more and spread throughout the muffins. This will make the muffins flavorful and soft which makes them more enjoyable to eat.

How To Reheat Frozen Muffins In The Oven?

To reheat frozen muffins you first have to remove them from the freezer. Then, unwrap them and let them thaw for about an hour on the countertop or overnight in the fridge. Once they’re thawed, you can reheat them in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8-15 minutes or until warm.

In short, muffins need to be wrapped up in something like freezer paper to prevent freezer burn. Here are the steps needed to warm up frozen muffins:

  • Remove the muffins from the oven
  • Unwrap the muffins from the freezer paper
  • Let the muffins thaw in the fridge overnight
  • Double-check if the muffins are thawed
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
  • Place the muffins on a tray
  • Spread the muffins evenly across the tray
  • Cover the muffins with aluminum foil
  • Place the muffins in the oven for about 8-15 minutes

Once the muffins are fully thawed in the fridge or on the countertop, you need to follow the same directions as above to warm them up.

I usually bake my muffins in silicone muffin liners so that they are easier to remove from the muffin pan.
