That\u2019s exactly what I felt when I first picked up a whisk and glanced at a recipe. I\u2019ve had my fair share of burnt brownies and cracked cheesecakes but over the last few years, through trial and error, I\u2019ve come up with plenty of tips and tricks to help make even the most tedious tasks a little easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My name is Fainna and I\u2019m here with my amazing husband, Denis<\/strong>, who is the mastermind behind this website. In our relationship, I\u2019m the baker and he\u2019s the taster so everything you find in our little Baking Nook<\/a> will be foolproof thanks to him!<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve been in the kitchen baking since the ripe ol\u2019 age of 10 <\/strong>when I decided to bake a Strawberry Shortcake for my mom on Mother\u2019s Day. Sure, it wasn\u2019t the prettiest thing in the world. It looked more like melted whipped cream meets overcooked cake BUT she still appreciated it which encouraged me to fix the gaps in my baking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Getting involved in the kitchen has drawn me closer to my mother and my grandmother who I consider saints in the kitchen. There\u2019s something about grandma\u2019s baking that makes you feel as if you stepped foot into heaven.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When I\u2019m not in the kitchen cleaning up the sugar I spilled over, I\u2019m sitting in my biotechnology lab studying principles in genetics to help prevent (or even cure) diseases in the future. When I\u2019m in the lab, I almost feel like I\u2019m in the kitchen. All the chemicals and beakers, it\u2019s as if I\u2019m baking a cake there<\/strong>, but with less-pleasant smelling substances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Baking is a hobby as well as a serious passion of mine that I\u2019ve had for almost 14 years now.<\/strong> This gave me a lot of time to perfect recipes, develop hacks and tips that might not seem like a big deal but make a major difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I hope you find what you\u2019re looking for here, whether it\u2019s a question you\u2019ve been struggling to answer or even finding out which pan to bake your cake in, you’ve come to the right place!<\/p>\n\n\n\nNot Just A Baker…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
